County Incentives

Collin County is committed to the promotion of quality development in all parts of the County and to improving the quality of life for its citizens. They works closely with municipal EDCs to provide a variety of incentives. In order to help meet these goals, Collin County will consider providing the following incentives to stimulate economic development:

  • Tax Abatements – Business development projects may be offered county tax abatements based on their potential commercial impact and benefits, in accordance with their Tax Abatement Policy.
  • 50/3 Plan – New and expanding businesses may qualify for incentives offsetting county ad valorem taxes based on their 50/3 Policy
  • Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) – Collin County may consider participation in municipal Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones based upon their TIRZ Policy.
State Incentives
